Somerton Castle Studio is a new residential studio hidden away in the Lincolnshire countryside, offering both top-notch recording facilities and a one-of-a-kind experience to nurture your musical ideas in the perfect environment.
The studio consists of a large, naturally lit live room (10 x 7 x 6m) ideal for large ensembles. With beautiful, natural reverb and high vaulted ceiling, the acoustics of the space can be tailored to your needs using our bespoke acoustic baffles and removable curtains.
The studio comes equipped with a large range of high quality instruments and recording hardware including a Yamaha GP1K Baby Grand Piano, Fender and Gibson guitars, Fender and Marshall Amps, a range of analog synths and a large variety of high quality microphones and outboard hardware to choose from.
The control room (6.5 x 7 x 2.5m) is designed in a live-end, dead-end format, equipped with ATC monitors, ensuring the highest quality for tracking and mixing. Built as a digital studio, the system has everything a modern studio requires with a powerful Mac and a range of software including Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Reaper DAWs, UAD, Soundtoys, FabFilter, Waves, Valhalla and SSL plugins. I/O is provided by an Antelope Orion Synergy Studio interface paired with Focusrite Clarett Octopre interfaces, whilst live headphone monitoring for bands is provided by individual digital interfaces for each musician.
Lastly, our studio makes a fantastic location for writing retreats and video shoots. With plenty of space and tranquility, our studio provides peace and inspiration for all types of musical artists - whether you're a solo artist seeking solitude or a full live band ready to jam, you'll find the inspiration you need to bring your music to life.
